How Much Does Website Maintenance Cost in Australia? (2026)
Most Australian businesses pay between $100 and $700 per month for a managed website maintenance plan (the range depends on site complexity, CMS, and how...
We check your WordPress site the way we'd check one before taking it on. You get a written report, a plan costed in hours and two hours of fixes, for $697.
Most sites we check look fine from the front. The problems sit in the admin.
On a B2B software site we checked in February 2025, WordPress was four years out of date and ten plugins had known security holes. The server ran a version of PHP that stopped getting security fixes in 2019.
On a Sydney gym’s site two months later, backups were running but saved on the same server and never tested. Automatic updates had been switched off. The mobile speed score was 36 out of 100.
Both owners had a working website. Neither had a list of what needed fixing, in what order, or how long it would take. That list is what a health check gives you.
WordPress, plugins and themes checked against known vulnerabilities. We also look at unused plugins, old themes, login protection, the PHP version and where your backups are stored.
Google's mobile speed scores, server response time, caching, image sizes and anything that loads before the page appears.
Page titles, headings, pages indexed that shouldn't be, and test-site links left in live pages.
Layout, calls to action and forms, from the page a visitor lands on to the enquiry. We also check that Google Analytics records each enquiry once, and the email records that keep form notifications out of spam.
Pages drag on mobile and nobody can say why.
Plugins haven't been touched in months in case something breaks.
Forms may not be arriving, or analytics isn't counting them.
The person who built it has moved on and nobody knows how it fits together.
Rankings dropped after an update, a redesign or a plugin change.
Before a redesign, a campaign or a new agency, you want to know what you have.
Pick a time, pay, and tell us what's worrying you about the site.
Add us as a WordPress admin, and to Search Console if you use it. We send the steps.
We work through the site and send the written report within 5 business days.
We spend two hours on the most urgent items, then walk you through the rest on a call.
It's a fixed price. If we find nothing worth fixing, we'll say so.
If the report finds more than two hours of work, you can book a time block of 10, 20, 30 or 40 hours to clear the rest, then move to a care plan from $147 a month.
Strengths and problems for each area, with a recommended fix beside each one.
Security issues at the top, then speed and search, then design and enquiries.
Urgent, should do and nice to have, with hours against every task.
Spent on the most urgent items, usually updates and security.
We go through the report with you and answer questions.
Fixed hours for what's left, whoever you choose to do it.
“We are extremely pleased with the final result which has brought our online presence fully in line with our parent organisation’s brand, one of the key objectives.”
B2B software site, February 2025.
Sydney gym, April 2025.
On both sites, before any design work.
Every finding is costed and grouped as urgent, should do or nice to have. You can hand the plan to us, to your own developer or to another agency. Either way you know what each fix should cost before anyone starts.
Most sites need fixing, and a health check will say so. If the report shows the site costs more to patch than to rebuild, it will say that too, with the hours to back it up.
We don’t rewrite your content or redesign pages. If the report shows either is needed, it says so and costs it in hours.
The answers to your questions. Get in touch if you can't find what you're looking for.
The report arrives within 5 business days of us getting access. The two hours of fixes follow within the next week.
Admin access to WordPress, and Search Console access if you have it. We send step-by-step instructions.
Usually the most urgent items. The rest are in the plan with hours against them, and you choose what happens next.
You can book a time block of 10 to 40 hours from $1,500 to clear the rest, then move to a care plan from $147 a month. Or take the plan elsewhere.
Only if the numbers say so. Most sites need fixing.
Yes. If your site is on Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or Weebly, our migration pages explain how we move it.
Not if we built the site. Every site we didn’t build starts with one before a care plan.
Yes. Most of the sites we check were built by someone else.
No. The two hours of fixes are agreed with you first, and we take a backup before we start.
Not yet. A site with no traffic doesn’t give us enough to measure.
