Spurwing Communications, an independent, award-winning agency specialising in healthcare, food, and agriculture, partnered with Chillybin to overhaul their online presence. Their previous website felt too consumer-focused, with excessive colours, an outdated design, and usability issues, failing to communicate their depth of expertise and impact on vital sectors. Spurwing needed a digital platform that mirrored their strong reputation, connected with their ideal clients, and showcased their unique specialities across healthcare, food, and agriculture.

The Problem

Spurwing faced several challenges with their existing website, including a lack of strategic visual identity, disjointed content presentation, user experience gaps, missed conversion opportunities, and technical limitations. The website leaned too heavily on bright visuals, overshadowing Spurwing's authority and professionalism. Key offerings and specialities were unclear, case studies lacked proper categorisation, and no strong narrative tied their work to their core industries.

The site was not mobile-responsive, navigation was clunky, and block colours and large segments disrupted readability. CTAs were underwhelming, with minimal impact from newsletter subscriptions and lead capture forms. Non-responsive design, random image scaling, and minimal integration with marketing tools such as HubSpot hindered Spurwing's ability to use the website as a marketing powerhouse.

We strategically redesigned the website with a professional, business-centric aesthetic, developed an intuitive navigation structure, and crafted a custom content strategy highlighting Spurwing's expertise and aligning sector insights with service overviews.

We developed a bespoke homepage video and designed a parallax scrolling feature to create an interactive and memorable browsing experience. The website was built using a custom WordPress theme with the Beaver Builder Framework, integrated with HubSpot for streamlined marketing automation, and optimised for responsiveness, SEO, and performance.
