We partnered with Philanthropy Asia to create a new website that serves as a platform for articles and updates catered to philanthropists, featuring a membership system that allows visitors to access content after registering.

Overview

Philanthropy Asia partnered with Chillybin to launch a purpose-built website designed to share insights, articles, and updates with a growing network of philanthropists. The brief was clear: the platform needed to reflect their mission, encourage exploration, and offer tailored access to exclusive content — all while being easy to manage and maintain in-house.

From the outset, the goal was to provide a digital foundation that inspires trust, promotes collaboration, and builds a knowledge hub for individuals and organisations driving change across the region.

The Problem

The organisation previously lacked a digital platform supporting its growing content strategy and membership ambitions. Publishing articles was cumbersome, and access control was non-existent.

Philanthropy Asia needed a website that would reflect its values while offering tiered content access. This would allow different users to engage with resources based on their level of involvement. Usability was paramount for the internal team and visitors navigating the site.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the Philanthropy Asia team to define their goals, map user journeys, and build a structure supporting public-facing content and gated member experiences.

The design balanced professionalism with warmth, using subtle visual cues to reflect their mission. A custom WordPress build powered by Advanced Custom Fields gave the team complete control over content without the need for technical know-how.

We integrated Paid Memberships Pro for memberships, enabling fine-tuned control over article access. This included full access for registered members and time-limited access for guests. We streamlined navigation to guide users effortlessly to the content that matters to them, whether browsing insights or signing up for an account.

The Solution

Chillybin delivered a flexible and elegant website that empowers Philanthropy Asia to engage, inform, and grow its impact in the region.

Visitors are welcomed by a brand-aligned homepage that makes it easy to discover featured articles and explore key themes. The site architecture supports an evolving library of resources, allowing the internal team to publish and update content easily.

Membership flows were thoughtfully implemented to balance access and discoverability. Registered users enjoy a seamless content experience, while new users are encouraged to sign up or explore curated excerpts.

The result is a platform that helps Philanthropy Asia achieve its mission — supporting changemakers through information, collaboration, and thoughtful design.

Results

Since launch, the site has helped Philanthropy Asia streamline content publishing, reduce admin overhead, and improve member engagement. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with users praising the new platform's clarity, accessibility, and design.

We’ve dealt with poorly designed websites in the past, so creating our own felt daunting, especially without technical knowledge. But working with Chillybin was a relief.
