Website maintenance costs: plans, hosting and real yearly bills
Most plans cost $100 to $400 a month. Here's what three real WordPress sites cost us to run for a year, in Singapore and Australia.
We keep your WordPress site updated, backed up and secure, and we test that the backups actually restore. Plans start from $147 a month.
Across 85 active care clients.
372 tickets, Oct 2024 to Oct 2026.
Every request logged and tracked to done.
Updates, backups, security and support for WordPress sites, from studios in Singapore and Brisbane. We’ve been doing it since 2009.
We run your updates, watch security and uptime, keep the site fast and fix things when they break. You get on with running the business.
Most of the work is invisible. A plugin update that would have broken your forms gets caught on staging. A backup gets restored on a test copy every month, so we know it works before you ever need it.
Updates, monitoring, backups and support, handled by the same team every month.
If any of these sound familiar, your website probably needs a dedicated team looking after it.
Your last agency handed over the site and disappeared
You've had a hack, mystery downtime, or a security warning
You're not sure what version of WordPress or which plugins are running
Updates keep getting pushed back because no-one has time to deal with them
Something broke and you don't know who to call
You want someone who actually understands your website to look after it
“Our website is now more secure, faster and more automated than ever saving us so much time and money from having to manually update our previous website.”
Website maintenance is the regular work that keeps a site secure, fast and working: updating WordPress, themes and plugins, backing up, monitoring for downtime and attacks, and fixing what breaks.
Skip it and problems build up quietly. Most WordPress security holes are found in plugins, and a site that’s gone a year without updates is usually a bigger job to fix than a year of maintenance would have cost.
Ackcio has been on a care plan since its 2022 rebuild. Its team publishes without waiting on anyone, and the updates happen in the background.
Pressing “update” is easy. Undoing a bad one isn’t. With professional support, every update is tested on staging first, someone checks the forms and checkout still work, and there’s a person to call when something breaks.
It also means a team that knows your site. Our median client has been with us for more than five years, so whoever picks up your request has usually worked on your site before.
Fullerton Fund Management has been hosted and maintained by us since 2021, through a platform migration and two penetration-test cycles.
Every host offers backups. Very few ever test one, so the first real restore is usually the day you need it to work.
We back up nightly, and again before we touch anything. Once a month we restore a full copy to staging, walk through the forms, the checkout and the logins, and time it. QA signs it off and the next test is already booked.
Thirty days of restore points, and a restore we’ve actually run.
Raffles Medical Group’s corporate platform has run on our build, and our care, since 2020.
“We are extremely pleased with the final result which has brought our online presence fully in line with our parent organisation's brand, one of the key objectives.”
If we built your site, we skip straight to onboarding. If we didn’t, we start with a health check so we know what we’re taking on.
We review performance, security, SEO and your WordPress setup. If we built the site, we skip this step.
We recommend the right care plan and flag anything worth fixing first, quoted as a time block if needed.
You move onto your plan, and the same team looks after your site from then on.
Plans start from $147 a month. No lock-in: cancel with 30 days’ notice.
Best for: Marketing websites with straightforward requirements
Best for: Business websites needing regular updates and ecommerce support
Best for: Complex websites requiring priority support and ongoing improvements
Included support hours cover small jobs like content updates, plugin settings and minor fixes. Routine updates to WordPress, themes and plugins never come out of your hours.
Plans cover the ongoing care. For bigger jobs (a new feature, a design refresh or a backlog of fixes), buy a block of hours at a lower rate.

Use the hours for anything your site needs: development, design changes, speed work. They don’t expire, and we’ll keep you updated on what’s been used.
We can manage your hosting as part of your maintenance plan, or work with your existing provider.
We set up and manage your hosting through WP Engine or Cloudways, billed separately based on your site's requirements. This gives us full control to optimise performance and resolve issues quickly.
If you have hosting you're happy with, we can work with it. We'll need admin access to manage updates, backups, and security. Some hosts make this easier than others. We'll let you know if there are limitations.
A lower-cost option on our own servers (DigitalOcean and RunCloud). It suits smaller sites, and we control the whole environment.
The same tools on every site we look after, so nothing depends on one person remembering to check.
